Dodge Debuts the 2027 Charger Super Bee, the Most Powerful Super Bee Ever
August 20 2026,
The Dodge Charger turns 60 this year, and Dodge marked the anniversary with a name Quebec muscle car shoppers have not seen in years: Super Bee. For anyone deciding where to land in the 2027 SIXPACK-powered Charger lineup, the newly confirmed Charger Super Bee Launch Edition changes the math at the top of the range.
This is not a trim shuffle. Dodge built the Super Bee around one job: more power, more cooling, more braking, and performance that holds up run after run, not just a single pass down the strip.
What’s Confirmed for the 2027 Charger Super Bee
Dodge has confirmed the 2027 Charger Super Bee Launch Edition as a SAE-certified 600-horsepower version of the SIXPACK-powered Charger, making it the most powerful Super Bee the nameplate has ever carried. Torque lands at 531 lb-ft, delivered through a Super Bee-exclusive high-output tune of the 3.0-litre twin-turbo SIXPACK inline-six.
The engine uses larger 56mm Garrett turbochargers than the Scat Pack’s SIXPACK H.O. unit, pushing power density to 200 horsepower per litre of displacement. That tops even the supercharged, 707-horsepower Hellcat V8’s density at its peak, and it puts the Super Bee 115 horsepower ahead of the outgoing 2023 Super Bee’s 485 horsepower.
Dodge rates the Super Bee at 3.6 seconds from 0-96 km/h (0-60 mph) and an 11.8-second quarter-mile, improvements of 0.9 seconds and six-tenths of a second over the 2023 Super Bee. The Launch Edition will be built in limited numbers, with ordering, pricing and availability details to follow later this year.
Where the Super Bee Sits in the 2027 Charger Lineup
The Super Bee joins a Charger lineup that already spans three confirmed performance trims, and it slots in above all of them on output.

The Super Bee out-powers the Scat Pack by 50 horsepower while matching its torque, and its quarter-mile time splits the gap between the gas-only Scat Pack and the all-electric Daytona Scat Pack. Every SIXPACK-powered Charger, including R/T, Scat Pack and Super Bee, comes standard with all-wheel drive plus an on-demand rear-wheel-drive mode that sends all torque to the back wheels at the push of a wheel-mounted button.
Hardware Built for Repeat Runs, Not Just One Pass
Dodge did not stop at the engine. The Super Bee’s cooling system gains more than 50 percent additional capacity in the high-temperature radiator circuit and more than double in the low-temperature circuit, backed by auxiliary radiators built into the front fascia. That extra headroom keeps output consistent through back-to-back drag strip launches or extended laps on a road course, where a lesser cooling system would force power to taper off.
A redesigned high-flow fascia increases airflow to the main stack by 30 percent and adds more than 45 kg of front-end downforce at 240 km/h.
Braking comes from 40 cm (16-inch) vented Brembo rotors with six-piston front and four-piston rear fixed calipers, standard for the first time on a SIXPACK Charger and rated for triple the fade resistance of any previous SIXPACK model. Forged 20-by-11-inch wheels wrap Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 305/35ZR20 summer tires at all four corners.
New Continuous Damping Control dual-valve adaptive dampers pair with stiffer bushings, springs and a stiffer rear sway bar, while dedicated Track and Drag drive modes retune the chassis and driveline for the corner or the strip. Half-shafts are reinforced nearly 10 percent stronger to handle the added output over repeated hard runs, and the wheel-mounted RWD button flips the car to full rear-drive for burnouts and donuts whenever the driver wants it.
A Look and Feel Built for the Badge
The Super Bee wears an all-new fascia with larger cooling ducts, a stretched grille texture, a Fratzog badge, and a front splitter one-third longer than the Scat Pack’s. A larger rear spoiler and a reimagined, turbo-inspired Super Bee logo carry the theme through. Launch Edition buyers can choose Sucker Punch, Shady or Diamond Black exterior colours, each paired with gloss-black graphics and Hyper Lime brake calipers.
Inside, the Launch Edition introduces the first cloth high-back performance seats offered in the modern Charger, with embroidered Super Bee headrest logos and Sour Lemon and Silver contrast stitching. A dedicated leather performance steering wheel carries the RWD mode button and larger paddle shifters, alongside a Super Bee instrument-panel badge.
The Super Bee name dates to 1968, joined the Charger lineup in 1971, and returned as a limited-production special edition in 2007 before capping the previous generation at 485 horsepower in 2023. The new logo ties that history to the SIXPACK era on every fender and headrest.
Availability for Quebec Shoppers
The 2027 Charger Super Bee Launch Edition is confirmed as a limited-production model within the broader SIXPACK-powered Charger family, which is assembled in Canada at the Windsor Assembly Plant. Ordering, pricing and full availability details for Quebec will follow later this year, alongside the rest of the 2027 Charger lineup arriving at dealerships.
The Super Bee’s Place in Charger’s 60th Year
The 2027 Charger Super Bee Launch Edition gives the SIXPACK-powered Charger lineup its most track-focused chapter yet, pairing 600 horsepower with reinforced cooling, braking and suspension hardware built for repeated hard use rather than a single pass down the strip.
