Ram Expands Sport Truck Lineup with Two New Heavy-Duty Variants

Ram has added two new models to its growing sport truck family with the introduction of the 2026 Ram 2500 Black Express and Warlock. These additions expand Ram's sport truck offerings to eight distinct models across the light-duty and heavy-duty segments.

The new models join an already robust lineup that includes the Ram 1500 Express/Black Express, Warlock, Rebel, and RHO, plus the heavy-duty Ram 2500 Rebel HD and Power Wagon. This expansion gives Canadian buyers more sport truck options than any other manufacturer offers.

  • Ram 2500 Power Wagon

This comprehensive range allows buyers to find sport truck styling and capability at virtually any price point and capability level.

Black Express Fills Entry-Level Gap

The new Ram 2500 Black Express targets buyers who want sport truck styling without premium pricing. At $78,385, this model provides custom appearance upgrades at an accessible price point.

Key Black Express features include a sport performance hood, body colour bumpers and grille surround, and 20-inch black wheels. The package adds $3,995 to the base Tradesman Crew Cab 4x4 configuration.

Interior upgrades include cloth bench seating, carpet floor covering, carpet floor mats, and ParkSense front and rear park assist. Class-exclusive power convex trailer-tow mirrors enhance functionality for towing applications.

The Black Express offers both long bed and short bed configurations, giving buyers flexibility in cargo capacity.

Warlock Brings Off-Road Heritage

The Ram 2500 Warlock extends the nameplate's 50-year heritage into heavy-duty territory for the first time. Originally introduced in the 1970s as part of Dodge's D-Series lineup, Warlock returned to Ram in 2019 on the 1500 Classic platform.

The heavy-duty Warlock focuses on off-road capability with specialized equipment. Twenty-inch diamond cut wheels mount 33-inch Goodyear Duratrac A/T tires for enhanced traction. Bilstein shocks are tuned for both on-road comfort and off-road performance.

Off-road features include an anti-spin rear differential, Hill Descent Control, and transfer case skid plate. Black exterior accents include the grille surround, fender flares, and bumpers, plus a distinctive Warlock bedside decal.

The Warlock package costs $4,495 and brings total pricing to $78,885 for the Crew Cab 4x4 short bed configuration.

Shared Heavy-Duty Foundation

Both new models build on Ram's proven heavy-duty platform with two engine options. The standard 6.4-litre HEMI V-8 produces 405 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque for reliable daily driving and moderate towing.

The available 6.7-litre Cummins High-Output Turbo Diesel delivers 430 hp and 1,075 lb-ft of torque for maximum capability. Both engines pair with the TorqueFlite HD eight-speed automatic transmission.

Ram's exclusive link-coil rear suspension system provides superior ride quality compared to traditional leaf spring setups. This technology improves comfort and handling whether the truck operates loaded or unloaded.

Strategic Market Positioning

The expansion addresses different buyer segments within the sport truck market. Entry-level buyers can choose the Black Express for styling upgrades, while off-road enthusiasts can select the Warlock for trail capability.

This strategy gives dealers more flexibility in meeting customer needs across various price points. The comprehensive lineup also allows buyers to upgrade within the Ram brand as their needs change.

Both models will arrive at Canadian dealers during the third quarter of 2025 in limited initial volume. They are available in eight exterior colours: Diamond Black, Bright White, Granite Crystal, Silver Zynith, Forged Blue, Flame Red, Ceramic Grey, and Molten Red.

The 2026 Ram 2500 Black Express and Warlock demonstrate Ram's dedication to growing the sport truck segment with options that cater to various buyer preferences and budgets.
